process & style

I begin with the actors. Always. When working with high school students I see who they are and what play would best meet them as individuals and as community. I do not approach actors with a finished product, but help them enter into the play and find their characters and relationships. Fundamentally I view my role as a facilitator who helps guide the actors to find themselves in their roles and with one another through the work.
